Anglo-Saxon (c.600-775), silver Sceat, 695-740, Early Anglo-Saxon period (c.600-775), Continental issues (c.695-c.740), Series E, Vico type. Obv. Rounded head enclosing three bars, cross pommée above head. Rev. VIC around central annulet in beaded standard. 1.12g, (S.790A; SL 88-10; SCBI 69 199 (this coin)). A broad flan with a deep cabinet tone over sharp devices, an excellent quality example for the type. Almost extremely fine.
