Anglo-Saxon (c.600-775), silver Sceat, 695-740, Continental issue, series E. Obv. Degenerate head facing right, cross, chevrons and lines within curved arc. Rev. Diamond cruciform style with large annulet at centre, cross, pellets, chevrons and trefoils within beaded border. 0.98g, (S.790D; Abr 96). Good very fine and a very rare variety.
