Catuvellauni, Tasciovanus, gold Stater, 25 BC – 10 AD, Tasciovanus Warrior type, class 5a. Obv. Crossed wreaths with ringed pellet terminals, crescents at center separated by a “T”, small A in top right field. Rev. Warrior riding right holding carnyx, ring above, TASC around. 5.44g, (ABC 2571; DK 505 Class 5a Carnyx High Tail). A choice example and a sought after type for collectors of Tasciovanus. Extremely rare variety, only 12 examples recorded of this type with the TA initials on the obverse.
