Charles II (1660-1685), silver pattern Farthing, 1665, edge milled vertically. Obv. Laureate and cuirassed bust facing left. Rev. Britannia seated facing left, BRITANNIA in exergue. 6.31g, die axis 12h (Peck 407). Slight rubbing to cheek and various hairlines and scratches under magnification, nonetheless with quite brilliant flashy fields and a delightful light grey tone, the recesses with hints of purple fluorescence, much sharper than usual for this issue, a lovely coin in hand. Good extremely fine and scarce.
