Charles II (1660-1685), silver Sixpence, 1681, edge milled diagonally. Obv. Laureate and draped bust facing right. Rev. Crowned cruciform shields, interlinked C’s in angles, date split by English crown. 2.98g, die axis 6h (S.3382; Bull 577). A delightful steely grey tone with hints of purple florescence and much underlying brilliance, becoming harder to find in such high grades. A Bold extremely fine.
