Charles II (1660-1685), silver Sixpence, 1684, edge milled diagonally. Obv. Laureate and draped bust facing right. Rev. Crowned cruciform shields, interlinked C’s in angles, date split by English crown. 3g, die axis 6h (S.3382; Bull 581). A steely grey cabinet tone, with golden hues, presented over problem free fields, a well struck, pleasing example of this tough date. Almost extremely fine and a rare date.
