Cnut (1016-1035), silver Penny, 1024-1030, London mint, moneyer Aelfwine, Pointed Helmet type. Obv. Bust facing left, wearing Pointed Helmet and holding sceptre. Rev. Voided short cross, annulet in centre, each quarter with a broken annulet enclosing pellet. 1.04g, die axis 9h (S.1158; North 787). Some minor flan crimping, but a solid strike and good metal with hints of lustre. Extremely fine.
