Cnut (1016-1035), silver Penny, 1024-1030, London mint, moneyer Aelfric, Pointed Helmet type. Obv. Bust facing left, wearing Pointed helmet and holding sceptre. Rev. Voided short cross, annulet in centre, each quarter with a broken annulet enclosing pellet. 0.93g, die axis 7h (S.1158; North 787). Well struck and lustrous, a delightful example. Extremely fine.
