Edward VI (1547-1553), silver Shilling, 1550 (MDL), London (Tower) mint, second issue (debased coinage), crowned bust 5, m.m. martlet/martlet. Obv. Crowned bust facing right wearing tunic with collar. Rev. Small, garnished oval shield, dividing ER. 5.66g, die axis 10h (S.2466; North 1919/1). The usual soft strike, but nicely toned, the mintmarks clear. Good fine and the mintmark rare.
