Edward VI (1547-1553), silver Shilling, 1551-1553, third period (1550-1553), fine silver issue (1551-1553), facing bust type, m.m. y/y. Obv. Facing bust, rose in left field, mark of value in right. Rev. Long cross forcheé over coat of arms within inner circle. 5.76g, die axis 2h (S.2482). Of bright, sound metal with some areas of weakness, yet pleasingly round with a bold portrait, a nice collectable example. Very fine.
