Edward VI (1547-1553), silver Shilling, 1551-1553, fine silver issue (1551-1553), m.m. tun/tun. Obv. Facing bust, rose in left field, mark of value in right in Roman numerals. Rev. Long cros forcheé over coat of arms. 6.10g, die axis 3h (S.2482). slight weakness of strike in part of obverse legend else a delightful dark glossy tone with hints of purple iridescence, the fields problem free and the portrait bold and sharp. Extremely fine and rare in this grade.
