Elizabeth I (1558-1603), silver Shilling, 1560-1561, second issue (1560-1561), without rose or date, Bust 3C, m.m. Cross Crosslet/Cross Crosslet. Obv. Crowned bust facing left wearing dress with collar. Rev. Cross fourchée on shield of arms within beaded inner circle. 5.88g, die axis 8h (S.2555; North 1985). Traces or verdigris, otherwise struck on a full flan, with a deep grey tone, a little patch to the reverse, a pleasing coin in hand. Very fine.
