George II (1727-1760), copper Halfpenny, 1729, first issue, with reverse stop, edge plain. Obv. Laureate and cuirassed bust facing left. Rev. Britannia seated facing left, date in exergue. 10.27g, die axis 6h (S.3717; Peck 830). Small mark on reverse, otherwise a gentle light brown tone with some original colour in the legends. Extremely fine.
Formerly slabbed and graded by NGC as MS63 BN (now removed from slab) with accompanying slab ticket.
