George III (1760-1820), copper Half Penny, 1772, London (Tower) mint, first issue, GEORIVS error, edge plain. Obv. Laureate and cuirassed bust facing right. Rev. Britannia seated facing left, date in exergue. 9.21g, die axis 6h (S.3774; Peck 900). A delightful chocolate brown tone. Virtually as Struck and rare in this grade.

Formerly slabbed and graded by PCGS as MS62 (now removed from slab), but with PCGS ticket.
