George III (1760-1820), copper bronzed proof pattern Halfpenny, 1797, Birmingham, early Soho, ‘Cartwheel’ type, 3 berries in wreath, m.m. SOHO on reverse only, edge grained in centre. Obv. Laureate and draped bust facing right. Rev. Britannia seated facing left, ship to left, date below. 13.92g, die axis 6h (Peck 1153). Toned. Choice about uncirculated and rare.
