Gordian III (AD 238-244), silver Antoninianus, AD 243-244, Rome mint. Obv. Radiate and draped bust facing right. Rev. Providentia standing facing left, holding rod and sceptre, globe at feet. 4.39g, die axis 6h (Sear 8654 (RCV III); RIC 148; RSC 296). Struck centrally on a large flan with a light tone. Good very fine.
