Henry VI (1422-1461), gold Salut D’or, 1446-1449, Rouen mint, m.m. leopard/leopard. Obv. Virgin Mary and angel Gabriel facing inwards, AVE on scroll between, French and English royal arms belo, pellet in annulet under E of REX. Rev. Latin cross, h below, lis and lion at sides, pellet in annulet below A of IMPERAT, tressure of ten arcs. 3.47g, die axis 4h (S.8164). A wonderful coin, full and round, the portraits with excellent detail. Good very fine and rare.

The annulet in pellet was the mark of Pierre de Préaulx (1446-49)
