Henry VII (1485-1509), silver Groat, London mint, facing bust, Class IIIc, m.m. pansy/pansy. Obv. Crowned bust facing within tressure, no fleurs, double-arched crown, type 2, no. 4, with jewels on outer arch only, saltire stops, lettering E2. Variant, reading ANGL and without any fleurs on cusps. Rev. Long forked cross to edge of coin, 3 pellets in each central quarter within inner beaded circle. 2.94g, die axis 8h (S.2199 variant; North 1705(c)). Slightly short of flan and some minor marks but well struck with a bold portrait. Extremely fine and a very rare variant.
