Iceni, gold Quarter Stater, c.20-10 BC, uninscribed coinage, Irstead Smiler type. Obv. Latticed square divided into three, over two opposing crescents, pellet in ring above. Rev. Horse facing right below crescent, pellet in ring above. 1.10g, (S.430; ABC 1480 (for type); VA 628; CCI 11.0937 (this coin)). Some areas of weakness, otherwise with a light tone over rose gold, a nice coin with eye appeal. Extremely rare for these dies, only 8 recorded.
