L. Flaminius Cilo (109/108 BC), silver Denarius, Rome mint, edge milled vertically. Obv. Helmeted head of Roma facing right, ROMA behind, X below chin. Rev. Victory driving galloping biga facing right, L.FLAMIN[IUS] CILO below. 3.86g, die axis 7h (Sear 179 (RCV I); RRC 302/1). A few tiny edge scrapes in front of neck, otherwise of good quality silver and struck on a large flan. Very fine.
