Philip & Mary (1554-1558), silver Shilling, 1555, English titles, dated, mark of value. Obv. Face-to-face busts, crown above between date. Rev. Mark of value split by crown, above oval shield of arms. 6.11g, die axis 2h (S.2501; North 1968). Light tooling in fields barely visible to the naked eye, bright and boldy struck, the portraits with good detail, pleasing in hand and an unusual legend variety. Good very fine and rare in this grade.
