Victoria (1837-1901), Penny, 1881, Heaton mint, Birmingham, ‘Bun Head’ issue (1860-1895), lower ‘H’ mint mark (dies 11+M), m.m. H on reverse only. Obv. Young laureate bust facing left. Rev. Britannia seated facing right, lighthouse to left, ship to right, date in exergue, ‘H’ below. 9.53g, die axis 12h (S.3955; Freeman 108; Peck 1724). A few trivial spots and marks, otherwise bright with full lustre, a pleasing example. Brilliant uncirculated.
