Victoria (1837-1901), Florin, 1881 (mdccclxxxi), ‘Young Head’ coinage (1838-1887), Gothic type B8. Obv. Young crowned ‘Gothic’ bust facing left with ornately decorated dress, date in legend in roman numerals. Rev. Crowned cruciform shields, floriated cross in centre, emblems in angles. 11.33g, die axis 6h (S.3900; Bull 2902). A few marks in obverse fields otherwise lightly toned and lustrous. EF or better.
