Victoria (1837-1901), Farthing, 1883, ‘Bun Head’ issue (1860-1895), edge plain. Obv. Young laureate bust facing left. Rev. Britannia seated facing right, lighthouse to left, ship to right, date in exergue. 2.85g, die axis 12h (S.3958; Freeman 551). Some striking weakness on bottom of hair, else much original colour, a couple of darker toning patches on the reverse, virtually full lustre. Brilliant uncirculated and scarce.
