George III (1760-1820), copper Halfpenny, 1770, London (Tower) mint, first issue, edge plain. Obv. Laureate and cuirassed bust facing right. Rev. Britannia seated facing left, date in exergue. 9.59g, die axis 6h (S.3774; Peck 893). Light chocolate tone with some lustre on either side. Extremely fine and scarce in grade.
With old hand written ticket.
