George VI (1936-1952), silver (.500) Proof Crown, 1937, first coinage (1937-1946), edge milled vertically. Obv. Bare head facing left. Rev. Crowned shield of arms with lion and unicorn supporters, motto on scroll below, above date. 28.18g, die axis 12h (S.4079; Bull 4021). A light, somewhat patchy tone over brilliant fields. Practically mint state.
