Edward I (1272-1307), silver Farthing, 1279-1307, London mint, new coinage, Class 10, m.m. Cross Pattée on obverse only. Obv. Crowned bust facing within inner circle. Rev. Long cross to edge of coin, 3 pellets in each central quarter within inner beaded circle. 0.36g, approximately 13.3mm, (S.1450). The flan a little ragged at 12 o’clock and a tiny striking split, nonetheless of good size and weight with a nice portrait. Very fine.
