Kenneth Peppiatt (1934-1949), Bank of England, £1, 1948, S07S 628232, Series A – Britannia (Fourth Period), replacement, threaded. Obv. Green with Britannia vignette to left, mark of value to right, declaration at centre. Rev. Front of the Bank of England above a spread of acanthus leaves around watermark, vignettes of St. George and Dragon to either side in the style of the sovereign reverse used by Benedetto Pistrucci. (EPM B261; Pick 369a; BYB BE53b). Slabbed and graded by PMG as Very Fine 30.
