Elizabeth I (1558-1603), silver Sixpence, 1562, milled issue (1561-1571), Bust B, m.m. Star/Star, edge milled vertically. Obv. Tall narrow bust, crowned, facing left wearing plain dress, rose behind. Rev. Long cross fourchée over shield of arms, date above. 2.93g, die axis 6h (S.2594; North 2025). Miniscule scratch to hair, otherwise well struck with a deep steely grey tone, a pleasing coin. Good very fine.
