Anglo-Saxon (c.600-775), silver Sceat, 695-740, Early Anglo-Saxon period (c.600-775), Continental issues (c.695-c.740), Series D, type 2c, variety 4a. Obv. Radiate bust, beaded ear, short linear pyramid neck on curved exergual line. Rev. Cross pommée, rosette below. 1.1g, (S.792; SL 8-10 (plate coin); SCBI 69 165 (this coin)). A well centered coin with finely engraved and precise details, nicely toned with a pleasing portrait, an attractive example. Extremely fine or near so and rare in this condition.
