Anglo-Saxon (695-740), silver Sceat, Early Anglo-Saxon period (c.600-775), Continental issues (c.695-c.740), Porcupine type, Series E, Runic/Linear elements. Obv. Quilled crescent, pellet on body, enclosing three bars. Rev. Beaded standard, central annulet with two pseudo-runes, I in margins. 0.98g, (S.790C; SCBI 69 231 (this coin); SL 97-20 (plate coin)). Lightly toned and well centered. Good very fine and of the highest rarity.
