Anglo-Saxon (695-740), silver Sceat, Early Anglo-Saxon period (c.600-775), Continental issues (c.695-c.740), Porcupine ‘Kloster Barthe’ type, Series E. Obv. Quilled crescent coiled right with beaded outline, enclosing three bars. Rev. Beaded standard enclosing central annulet and square of pellets. 1.33g, (S.790; SCBI 69 237 (this coin); SL 97-30 (plate coin); Metcalf 2016, 141). A handsome coin of good silver and struck in high relief, well centered and pleasing. Good very fine.
