Anglo-Saxon (695-740), silver Sceat, Early Anglo-Saxon period (c.600-775), Continental issues (695-740 AD), Porcupine type, Series E, variety A. Obv. Rounded head enclosing four detached limbs, cross and annulet below. Rev. Beaded standard containing central annulet and angular symbols reading TT II. 1.22g, (S.790D; Abramson 94.10). A decent size flan of good quality silver, nicely toned to the recesses, attractive. Good very fine.
