Early Anglo-Saxon (c.600-775), silver Sceat, 695-740, Early Anglo-Saxon period (c.600-775), Continental issues (c.695-c.740), Porcupine type, Series E, late variety. Obv. Quilled crescent right, enclosing line of pellets, lines and annulet. Rev. Beaded standard, asymmetrical swastika around pelleted annulet, pellets in quarters. 0.80g, die axis (S.790C; SL 97-10 (plate coin); SCBI 69 227 (this coin)). A most attractive coin with much eye appeal, lustrous and pleasing. Practically extremely fine and choice.
