Anglo-Saxon (710-760), silver Sceat, Early Anglo-Saxon period (c.600-775), Continental Series, Secondary phase (c.710-c.760), Series G, type 3a. Obv. Diademed head facing right with crescent ear and collar, large cross pommée in field to right. Rev. Beaded standard, pellet-in-annulet at centre, pellets dividing trefoil in one angle, saltire crosses in remaining three. 0.83g, (S.800; Sceatta List 21-20; SCBI 69, 311 (this coin)). The obverse die a little soft, otherwise nicely centered with an attractive tone, a desirable coin in this condition. Extremely fine.
