Anglo-Saxon (655-675), pale gold Thrymsa, Early Anglo-Saxon period (c.600-775), Post-Crondall types (c.655-c.675), Two Emperors type. Obv. Helmeted bust facing right, symbols and letters behind. Rev. Bust of winged angel, dividing two heads, all facing, annulet in crescent below 1.26g, die axis 4h (S.767; North 14; SCBI 69 11-12 for type). The flan a little uneven in shape although fairly centrally struck, the primary features clear with the portrait pleasing, a desirable coin. Very fine to good very fine and very rare.
