Augustus (27 BC-AD 14), silver Denarius, 15-13 BC, Lyon (Lugdunum) mint, bull facing left not right variant. Obv. Bare head facing right. Rev. Bull butting facing left, IMP.X in exergue. 3.91g, die axis 7h (Sear 1610 variant (RCV I); RIC 169; BMC 458.). Part of the obverse legend off the flan, otherwise a beautiful coin, hints of light golden tone in the recesses, the fields lustrous, the details crisp and sharp, a delightful example of this popular type. Choice good extremely fine.
