Charles I (1625-1649), silver Shilling, 1636-1638, London (Tower) mint, under King, Group D, 3a, m.m. Tun/Tun. Obv. Fourth, double arched, crowned bust facing left wearing lace collar, mark of value behind. Rev. Round garnished shield of arms. Housed in N/A. 5.98g, die axis 12h (S.2791). The flan a little ragged and some weakness of strike to parts of the legend, but of sound metal nonetheless and nicely toned, the portrait both stylistically and visually appealing. Good very fine.
