Charles II (1660-1685), silver Crown, 1664, milled coinage, 8 strings to harp, edge XVI. Obv. Second laureate and draped bust facing right. Rev. Crowned cruciform shields, interlinked C’s in angles, date split by English crown. 29.90g, die axis 6h (S.3355; Bull 362). Some very trivial flecking for completeness, otherwise with a pleasing deep old cabinet tone, the 4 o’clock die axis alignment highly unusual, a desirable coin in this condition. Almost extremely fine and very rare in this condition.
