Charles II (1660-1685), copper pattern Farthing, 1665, short hair variety, edge milled vertically. Obv. Laureate and cuirassed bust facing left, date below. Rev. Britannia seated facing left, BRITTANIA in exergue. 5.63g, die axis 12h (Peck 409; Cooke 774). Tiny spot behind Britannia’s head, otherwise with a light brown even tone over sharp devices, a bold and impressive coin, desirable thus. As Struck and rare in this condition.
