Charles II (1660-1685), silver Crown, 1679, milled coinage, edge T.PRIMO. Obv. Third laureate and draped bust facing right. Rev. Crowned cruciform shields, interlinked C’s in angles, date split by English crown. 30.06g, die axis 6h (S.3358; Bull 403). A few light marks and trivial adjustment marks to drapery and a little softness to top of English shield, otherwise with a delightful and even old cabinet tone, a stunning coin and exceptional in this state of preservation. Practically extremely fine and very rare in this condition.
