Charles II (1660-1685), silver Halfcrown, 1682, edge TRICESIMO QVARTO. Obv. Fourth laureate and draped bust facing right. Rev. Crowned cruciform shields, interlinked C’s in angles, date split by English crown. 14.73g, die axis 6h (S.3367; Bull 493). Very small flan flaw above hair ties and a few light marks under magnification, else delightfully toned to a steely grey appearance, an attractive example. Good very fine/about extremely fine and rated ‘R2’ – very rare.
