Viking Kingdom of York (c.895-920), Cnut, silver Penny, c.895-920, Cunnetti type. Obv. Patriarchal cross with pellets, C N V T at end of main cross ends. Rev. Small cross pattée with a single pellet in two opposing quarters. 1.47g, die axis 3h (S.993; North 499). Subtle golden tones, full and round with a crisp even strike, a delightful coin. Good very fine.
