Catuvellauni & Trinovantes, Cunobelin, gold Stater, c. AD 10-43, Cunobelin Linear type, Class 2. Obv. Corn ear flanked by CA MV. Rev. Horse leaping facing right, branch and two pellets above, CVN below. 5.43g, die axis 11h (ABC 2774; S.281). Small contact marks to obverse and the reverse a little off centre, not detracting however from this otherwise nicely presented example, the gold lightly toned and the details bold, a pleasing coin.
