Durotriges, uninscribed coinage, silver Stater, c. 50-10 BC, Cranborne Chase type. Obv. Devolved head of Apollo in the form of wreath, cloak and crescents. Rev. Disjointed horse facing left, pellets above, single pellet below. 4.12g, (S.365; ABC 2157; VA 1235-1). Somewhat bright yet good quality silver, the devices bold and appealing with good detail and exhibiting minimal wear, a coin with good eye appeal.
