Eadmund (939-946), silver Penny, York mint, moneyer Ingelgar. Obv. Small cross pattée at centre within inner circle, EADMVND REX surrounding. Rev. Three small cross pattée across centre dividing INGEL GAR.MO over two lines, trefoils above and below. 1.45g, die axis 4h (S.1105; North 688). The edge a little ragged, else with a delightful old cabinet tone, the fields problem free, a pleasing coin. Good very fine, the reverse better.
