Edward III (1327-1377), gold Noble, 1369-1377, post-treaty period (1369-1377), Post-treaty letters, E and pellet in centre of reverse, m.m. cross potent on obverse only. Obv. King standing facing in ship, holding sword and shield. Rev. Floriate cross with lis at ends within tressure of eight arcs, crowned lions in angles, fleurs in spandrels, ‘E’ and pellet in centre. 7.27g, die axis 6h (S.1518; North 1281). Just light circulation wear, otherwise evenly struck on a full flan, pleasing. Very fine.
