Edward IV (1471-1483), gold Angel, 1477-1480, London mint, second reign (1471-1483), m.m. pierced cross/pierced cross. Obv. Archangel Michael standing facing, head right, spearing dragon to lower right with spear topped by cross crosslet. Rev. Ship bearing square-topped shield, mast as a cross, dividing Є and rose. 5.11g, die axis 8h (S.2091; North 1626). Confidently struck with only minimal weakness, lightly toned and pleasing. Good very fine.
