Edward VI (1547-1553), silver Groat, 1509-1547, London, Southwark mint, coinage in the name of Henry VIII (1547-1551), m.m. -/E. Obv. Crowned bust facing right, within inner beaded circle. Rev. Long cross Fourchée over square-topped shield of arms. Housed in N/A. 2.39g, die axis 7h (S.2404; North 1872). The flan a little ragged and some weakness of strike but of sound metal, nicely toned, the portrait superb. Good very fine, parts better.
