Elizabeth I (1558-1603), silver Shilling, 1560-1561, second issue, bust 3C, without rose or date, m.m. cross crosslet/cross crosslet, edge milled diagonally. Obv. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust facing right. Rev. Crowned cruciform shields, angles plain. 6.27g, die axis 6h (S.2555). Struck on a large flan, the obverse with a pleasing dark glossy tone, a presentable example. Good very fine.
